Fashion Editorial / Fault Magazine

Hello Goddesses!

I just want to share with everyone my first Fashion Editorial via Fault Magazine.

I've been working with a photographer by the name of Kat Kaye for the past several months who's an extremely talented and creative photographer. In addition I've been working with Cris Alex who's one of the most talented makeup artist I've worked with thus far.

This is our second shoot together but this is the first one to receive recognition from a fashion publication. Also, we will be working on a second magazine submission on Sunday, wish us luck!

I truly enjoy styling hair and that was my purpose for moving to Hollywood to take my skills to the next level and ultimately obtain representation from an Agency. However, it's a process of building before anyone will take notice in this town but I'm in it to win it.

There's so much to learn that's why I enjoy working in the Salon which is helping me to perfect my cut and color skills and  my photo shoots & various media work is helping me take my styling skills to the next level.

Hollywood is a tough town to achieve success but I'm much more tougher than Hollywood so success will be mine!

With that said! lol... Here's the link to our Fashion Editorial via Fault Magazine!

The Most Effective Keratin Treatment In The World

Hello Goddesses!

Without a doubt the Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment is the most effective treatment in the world. There's no other product on the market that can do what this product has done for millions of men & women around the globe of  EVERY RACE. If you have curly, wavy, and frizzy or either just frizzy hair this treatment will transform your hair into a  more soft and manageable condition.

I've been using this now for two years in my salon and I've done hundreds of people of every race so I can attest to its efficacy. Another great thing about this product is it's not a straightener,  it's designed to smooth out your waves or curls and seal the cuticle so you can have less frizz and more shine. Also, it's not "permanent" so your curls will eventually return after two to three months. Our hair is made of keratin so this product simply adds keratin to keratin so that's why it's safe and it strengthens the hair.

This product is completely safe when it's done by an experience professional such as myself. Just like any chemical you must take precaution to protect the operator and client during the process. I know there has been a lot of negative press concerning this product but over the past decade this product has evolved and unfortunately there are good and bad hairstylist   if you have an  "inexperienced stylist" using this product then there can be negative consequences for the client. However, if you have someone experienced such as myself  who understands the chemistry and structure of the hair in addition to having experience with working with every texture of every race then the experience will be transforming, positive and safe for the client.

Just like with any product it has its limitations such as someone with overly porous and damaged hair this wouldn't be a good choice for them because when the hair is over processed from bleaching, coloring or chemicals it becomes over porous thus any type of chemical applied to it becomes permanent so a product designed to be temporary will definitely perform in the opposite way it was originally designed to. After performing a thorough consultation I have and will continue to not perform this service on anyone whom I feel this product can cause detriment to the condition of their hair.

If you're thinking about getting this treatment I would suggest you go to the Brazilian Blowout website and research the product before seeking out a certified specialist such as myself http://www.brazilianblowout.com/faq/

Blow Me Beautiful!

Hi Goddesses!

Everyone who knows me will tell you how much I love Paul Mitchell products however recently I've switched to Redken Haircolor and I've started using their styling product line as well especially on my shoots in addition to P.M. products.

One product that I've fallen hopelessly  in love with is Redken 5th Avenue NYC " Satinwear 02 Prepping Blow-dry lotion". It's absolutely amazing because it has a great fragrance, it's extremely lite weight,  it leaves the hair shiny and soft, frizz free, and it has a thermal protection property in it. One more highlight, it has cranberry seed oil it in which strengthens and moisturizes the hair and scalp!

This product will give you an amazing blowout when added to properly moisturized hair so I recommend this product for all my Goddesses to create a "head turning" masterpiece...

(Important note: These are professional products thus they shouldn't be purchased off the internet or at your local convenient store such as CVS, Rite Aide, etc.. because these products are old or unauthorized reproductions so I would suggest you buy it from an authorized RedKen salon such as my salon. Using unauthorized products can result in a bacterial infection to the scalp so caution when buying these products from the internet or non approved redken dealers.)

If you have any questions please email me at HairByJamesThomas@yahoo.com

I Want Long, Healthy, And Luxurious Hair! (Part 1)

Hello Goddesses!

I live and work in Los Angeles ,and long hair is prized and desired here just as much as fame and fortune therefore, new clients are always asking me "How can I get my hair to grow?", and my response is "You have to start from the inside out!"...

I'll will try to make this as concise as possible without getting too complicated because I want you to enjoy and remember all this informative information.

On average a person will produce new growth every three weeks so in six weeks you'll grow between a 1/2 inch to an 1 inch of new growth. I've seen people grow less and some people produce hair like a "CHIA PET" so everyone is different. However, genetics and health factors can hinder hair growth such as a hormonal imbalance, anemia, anorexia , the lack of zinc or any type of deficiency will typically show first in the hair. Example: A mild case of anemia can cause shedding and hair loss.

Any time an individual has any kind of health concern from stress, trauma, medications of various sorts, chronic medical conditions or medical conditions that come and then wane, heavy metals in waters and food, smoking etc. these and more can affect the hair's growth and its appearance.

The hair is produce in the hair follicle via the mineral and nutrients from your blood stream transported by a vein called a dermal papillae.Your hair needs the proper amount of minerals and nutrients in order to grow and maintain a head of healthy luxurious hair thus the lack of vitamins and minerals slows down the growth of hair.

By consistently eating a healthy diet and taking a daily complete vitamin and mineral supplement this will enable you to begin the process of achieving Goddess like hair.

I always recommend my clients use " Nioxin Intensive Therapy Recharging Complex" because they're tested and proven to be effective. I've been using them for years and so have a lot of my clients so I stand by this product 100%.

I would suggest you only purchase them from an authorized Nioxin dealer because they are being sold illegally over the Internet. These products are old and some have been tempered with so I would suggest you go directly to Nioxin's site and enter in your zipcode to find the closes authorized specialist.  (click on the link below) Moreover, Nioxin is an amazing company because they specialize in scalp and Hair-Care they have an amazing line of products that will transform your hair. I've been using Nioxin in my salon for years and my clients love it!
